Quotes and Pricing
All our quotes are free. You simply need to email us your document(s), stating the language(s) you want to translate into and your expected turnaround time. We will review your document(s) and promptly send you your free quote indicating cost and turnaround time. Our prices are quoted fully in advance. There are no hidden charges or surprises – everything is in writing.
We will respect the confidentiality of your documents. If you have your own NDA, we will be happy to sign and honor it.
We only start after receiving your OK in writing.
We calculate the cost of a translation depending on the number of words in the document to be translated, the urgency of the turn-around time, and the complexity of the subject matter. We do not charge on a per-page or per-word basis because it is difficult to estimate accurately due to differences in margins, fonts sizes, page size, etc.
Having a minimum charge is standard practice in the translation industry. Our minimum charge is $85.00 to $120 depending on the language.
We do not charge project management fees.
Quality Control
Our translators are thoroughly screened professionals with degree(s) and years of experience in the subject matter they are translating. For example, our legal translators are legal professionals, that is, practicing or former attorneys or paralegals, and our technical translators are current or former engineers. They are also native speakers of the language into which they are translating, and they only translate into their native language.
With these qualifications, our translators are familiar with both the target culture and the target language as well as the specific terminology needed to communicate your information as accurately as possible.
Our translations are performed by our professional translators, NOT machines. While computers can do many marvelous things, they cannot sense linguistic nuances that can make all the difference in a translation.
We do, however, create, maintain, and store significant terminology pertinent to each field in glossaries prepared specifically for each company. This ensures linguistic consistency through all your translations.
Systems and Software Supported
We support both PC and MAC platforms as well as a variety of operating systems and desktop publishing software.

Our translators are degreed professionals with years of experience in the subject they are translating; they translate only into their native language.
The answer to that question depends entirely on the document itself – its length, language, and complexity of the subject matter. Usually translating a two-page letter can be accomplished in much less time than translating a 50-page instruction manual.
This explains why we ask to see your document before giving you a quote. Only after seeing the full project can, we give you an accurate idea of the cost and timeline.
That might seem to be an ideal, cost-cutting solution – but it could be extremely costly in the end. The ability to speak English does not mean you can be a great writer; the same is true with other languages. Translation is not for amateurs but for credentialed and experienced professional linguists. Imagine the damage a mistranslation could do in medical instructions, in a legal document, or in a safety manual. The skills involved in speaking a language are not those needed for the complex translations used in business, legal, medical, technical contexts. It is highly unwise to put your documents into the hands of anyone other than a proven professional translator. Even the top translators recognize their own limitations. For example, a medical translator is unlikely to be the best choice for a literary translation and vice versa.
Translations in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, and Hebrew?
Yes, that is possible. Besides translation services, we offer layout services (DTP) in all the languages that we translate, including Spanish, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hebrew, etc.
Certified Documents
Documents used for “official” purposes (for example, immigration papers or academic transcripts) need to be certified, and Access does offer that service. We will include a written declaration with your translation stating that the translation is accurate to the best of our knowledge. The certification declaration is signed by both the project manager and a notary public.
The certification process is free.
Access can only certify translations which we have performed.
